You have spent the past 2 months getting acquainted with 4th grade! It's time to put your skills to the test.. FAMILY STYLE!

You should use this time to discuss and explain to your families the things that you do during your typical school day.
You and your family should carefully choose the best answer, based off your knowledge of our routines, expectations, and some things we have learned so far in 4th grade.
The top 5 winners from Mrs. Knight's and Mrs. Courie's class will win a special prize! Winners will be chosen on Monday October 24th.

4.NBT.1&4 and 4.OA.1 4.NBT.1 Explain that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right, up to 100,000.
4.NBT.4 Add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers up to and including 100,000 using the standard algorithm with place value understanding.
4.OA.1 Interpret multiplication as a division comparison statement using phrases such as ‘times as many’

4.E.1.2 Explain the monthly changes in the appearance of the moon, based on the moon’s orbit around the Earth

4.E.2.3 Give examples of how the surface of the earth changes due to slow processes such as erosion and weathering, and rapid processes such as landslides, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes
Attendance & Absences: It is highly encouraged for students to come to school every day. If students are sick, students should always check teams and complete the work that has been posted in each subject for that day(if any).
Tardies: If your student is tardy, you must drop your child off at the office to get a tardy slip before coming to class. We have specials 9:00 am - 9:45 am. Please try to have students here on time so they get to experience the different arts Bell Fork has to offer!
Math:Students have math homework every night. Students receive a sticker every day when homework is completed. Students will have a dojo point deducted when homework is incomplete or left at home.
Science:Students do not have science homework unless it is unfinished classwork.
Homework is not graded; it is based on participation.
Students will have both Math and Reading EOG's on the computer this year.
MATH:Students have math homework every night. Students are expected to show work on all assignments to receive full participation credit for all homework.
Homework is not considered a math grade.
SCIENCE:Students will receive science homework as necessary. Most science will become homework, only if it is incomplete classwork.
