Mrs. Kimberly Walrod

Hi there! I am Kimberly Walrod and I am so excited to be a part of the Bell Fork family! I am from North Carolina and have called Wilmington, Greensboro, Raleigh, and now Jacksonville home! I lived in Jacksonville for the first time from 2007-2010 when the Marine Corps called my husband to Hawai'i and then Virginia. To complete his 20 years in the Marine Corps, we came back to Jacksonville and decided to call it home for good!

I graduated high school in 2003 in Concord, NC as the first graduating class at Jay M. Robinson High School. I always had dreams to be a teacher, and picked my passion back up after being a stay-at-home mother. I graduated from UNCW in May 2023 and am so excited to step into my first year of teaching at Bell Fork Elementary with your amazing students! I spent my field experience as well as my internship at Bell Fork Elementary in 4th grade and truly found my heart calling me to continue my work here. Our school has some amazing staff and faculty that I am so proud to be a part of. 

I have two sons, Charlie (15) and Declan (9), along with 2 dogs and 2 cats at home! I am a diehard Tar Heels fan and look forward to basketball season every year! I love to paint as a hobby and think everyone has an artist in them. On breaks, our family loves to go on cruises so we can not only see beautiful places, but experience the people, culture, and food of those beautiful places!

I am excited for this new school year and getting to see some new and familiar faces step into my classroom. I believe in having an open line of communication and want you to know that your student's progress and success is my priority. If you have any questions for me, please send me a message!
